these instead direct news from haiti

Massimiliano (director ANPIL):

Dear,

yesterday afternoon, an extremely violent earthquake struck Haiti.

There is talk of a magnitude of more than 7 degrees on the scale Ricther.

From what we know about the quake was also felt in the north and particularly in Port de Paix, where there are missions of the Brothers:

in Port de Paix and Tortuga.

communications are very difficult.

Our center was not damaged and no damage results to children, sisters and brothers over there.

Regarding the capital Port au Prince , it is completely destroyed.

All buildings, including concrete, no longer exist.

Of the three hospitals in Port au Prince, 2 are completely collapsed in on itself and the last is severely damaged.

's still active Camilliani of the hospital.

The old hospital made by the Foundation Rava is fully collapsed, the new program should be operational.

No power, no water.

The greatest concern that the Brothers are in Port au Prince.

Brothers recently bought a home in Petion Ville, satellite city of Port-au-Price, in the mountains.

This house is the new novitiate.

I visited the novitiate on December 10 last year and I got to talk to Fr Hermann, deputy director, and with some guys.

the information and maps posted on the Internet is clear that the focus of the earthquake is almost at the area near the home of the brothers.

Honestly I fear the worst.

Since the earthquake struck at 5 pm we just hope that no one was home.

As soon as we will update news.
